Vincent Clemson

👋 I’m Vincent. In 2017, I received my Bachelor of Science in mathematics & a minor in statistics from Penn State. Afterward, I spent 5+ years at what is now Peraton working a few Geospatial Intelligence data science missions on the NGA’s enterprise systems engineering contract. Recently, I was an AI Engineer at Booz Allen where I conducted statistical performance analyses against Earth observing satellite imagery object detection algorithms.

I’ve been traveling a lot lately.

Over the past year and a half I’ve added 23 new countries to my personal list.

Before this, I traveled ~13,000 miles by car across the United States from the East to the West coast. I’m always searching for my next big (or tiny) adventure.

I enjoy spatial analytics. I hope to shed some light on spatial topics through effectively communicating technical concepts in my blog. It’s built with Quarto.

As I’ve been traveling, I’ve created content through cinematic story telling, photography, & drone piloting. I’ve logged 220 drone missions spanning 500km & 60 hours of flight time.

A section of this site is dedicated to combining travel with math & code — where I share my travel photography along with each of my computational answers & bite sized explanations to the Project Euler problems.

When I’m not head down in geeky stuff, I also enjoy salsa dancing, sports (go birds 🦅), and jumping out of aircraft (did it once - was fun & a bit terrifying).

If you’re interesting in learning more about my career, here’s a web version of my résumé.
